A MONITORING AND EVALUATION MANAGER
Information on the general framework of the position
AGROMAP(https://agro-map.com/) is a regional company based in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. It designs and implements sustainability projects through Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) in Côte d'Ivoire, Congo Brazzaville, Cameroon and Ghana. These projects have a positive socio-economic impact on small-scale producers and their communities, improving their resilience to the effects of climate change. AGROMAP is strongly committed to the development of forest carbon credit projects. To ensure the operational implementation of projects in the field, AGROMAP is structured around four strategic areas: NBS, Consulting, Renewable Energy and Technology. As part of its policy of strategic development of these four areas,
AGROMAP is recruiting a full-time Monitoring and Evaluation Manager based in Congo Brazzaville.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the General Manager, the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager's main tasks will be to :
Development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems
- Develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation framework for projects, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and impact indicators;
- Develop and implement appropriate monitoring and evaluation tools;
- Participate in the supervision of project implementation and the evaluation of project performance in conjunction with collaborators
Data collection and analysis
- Supervise regular data collection in the field;
- Analyze data collected to assess progress against project objectives;
- Use software and statistical tools to process data;
- Document best practices and recommendations for future improvements;
- Disseminate results and key information to stakeholders;
Monitoring and assessment management
- Conduct interim and final evaluations to measure the project's impact;
- Propose strategic adjustments based on evaluation results ;
- Maintain complete and accurate databases of project activities and results;
- Prepare periodic monitoring and evaluation reports for project management and partners;
- Provide quality control support for all aspects of monitoring and evaluation included in the Project Performance Report;
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of the data collected;
- Ensure that the monitoring systems developed work and are properly applied;
Training and support for project teams
- Provide technical and analytical expertise on all issues related to project monitoring and evaluation;
- Provide technical advice to project teams;
- Collaborate with technical teams, partners and stakeholders to ensure consistent implementation of the M&E system:
- Participate in project coordination meetings and training workshops;
Profile required
- Training: Bac + 5 in Project Management, Economics, Statistics, Data science or any other relevant field;
- 5 years' successful experience in project monitoring and evaluation, preferably in the agroforestry or agriculture sector;
- Proven experience in data collection, analysis and report writing;
- Experience in the use of monitoring-evaluation and data management tools;
- Ability to meet deadlines, good writing skills, rigorous and precise;
- Be a force of conviction and make proposals;
- Good listening and interpersonal skills, ability to anticipate, adaptability and responsiveness under pressure;
- Good analytical and synthesis skills, with method and rigor;
