A COMMUNITY MANAGER
AGROMAP(https://agro-map.com )is a regional company headquartered in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. It designs and implements sustainability projects through Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) in Côte d'Ivoire, Congo Brazzaville, Cameroon and Ghana. These projects have a positive socio-economic impact on small-scale producers and their communities, improving their resilience to the effects of climate change. AGROMAP is strongly committed to the development of forest carbon credit projects. To ensure the operational implementation of projects in the field, AGROMAP is structured around four (4) strategic axes: NBS, Consulting, Renewable Energy and Technology. As part of its expansion, AGROMAP is recruiting a Community Manager for its Congo office.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Country Representative, the Community Manager's main tasks will be :
Social networking :
- Animate company accounts on relevant platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube) ;
- Create and publish engaging content (posts, videos, infographics) highlighting agroforestry projects (sustainable plantations, FSC/PEFC certifications) ;
- Plan publications via an editorial calendar aligned with communication campaigns.
Content production
- Write content adapted to the platforms (articles, stories, newsletters) in collaboration with the marketing and technical teams;
- Create or coordinate the creation of visuals (photos of field activities, project videos, infographics on biodiversity);
- Ensure messages are consistent with the company's brand identity;
Business intelligence management
- Monitor competition and sector trends in agroforestry and digital communication;
- Analyze publication performance with the appropriate tools;
- Suggest optimizations to improve campaign visibility and impact;
Monitoring collaboration with teams
- Work with the logistics, partnerships and technical departments to gather information (project data, beneficiary testimonials);
- Participate in the development of the company's global communication strategies.
Profile required
- Education: Minimum of 3 years of higher education in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or any other relevant field;
- 3 years' successful experience in managing social networks,
- Ability to meet deadlines, good writing skills, rigorous and precise;
- Be a force of conviction and make proposals;
- Good listening and interpersonal skills, ability to anticipate, adaptability and responsiveness under pressure,
- Good analytical and synthesis skills, with method and rigor;
Skills & attitudes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Creativity and innovation;
- Ability to manage media crises and develop crisis communication strategies;
- In-depth knowledge of graphic design software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) ;
- Autonomous and organized, open-minded, rigorous and critical;
