Information on the general framework of the position
AGROMAP is a regional company based in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. It designs and implements sustainability projects through Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) in Côte d'Ivoire, Congo Brazzaville, Cameroon and Ghana. These projects have a positive socio-economic impact on small-scale producers and their communities, improving their resilience to the effects of climate change. AGROMAP is strongly committed to the development of forest carbon credit projects. To ensure the operational implementation of projects in the field, four strategic axes have been identified: NBS, Consulting, Renewable Energy and Technology. As part of its expansion, AGROMAP is recruiting a Project Coordinator for its Cameroon office.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, the Project Accountant's main duties will be to :
Project accounting follow-up
- Collection of accounting information ;
- Analysis of accounting documents ;
- Posting and entering accounting vouchers ;
- Perform bank reconciliations ;
- Analyze the various accounts;
- Conduct stock and fixed asset inventories;
Financial management and management control
- Develop and monitor the office's annual budget in collaboration with field teams and management;
- Manage cash flow, anticipate financing needs and draw up cash flow forecasts;
- Ensure regular financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually) for General Management and partners;
- Oversee the management of payments, collections and relations with banks and financial institutions;
Administrative management, grants and project financing
- Manage the administrative aspects of human resources (contracts, payroll, social security and tax declarations);
- Manage purchasing and contractual relations with suppliers (negotiate and monitor contracts);
- Follow-up of legal, social and fiscal files;
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements specific to agroforestry;
- Manage funding applications and public or private subsidies for agroforestry projects.
- Monitor project funds, ensure proper allocation of resources, and report to donors.
- Ensure compliance of funded projects with legal obligations and donor objectives
Profile required
- BAC +3/4/5 in accounting, finance or related field.
- Additional training in project management or leadership appreciated.
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar position, preferably in the sustainability, agroforestry, reforestation or carbon credit sectors.
