Information on the general framework of the position

AGROMAP is a regional company based in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. It designs and implements sustainability projects through Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) in Côte d'Ivoire, Congo Brazzaville, Cameroon, Ghana and Guinea Conakry. These projects have a positive socio-economic impact on small-scale producers and their communities, improving their resilience to the effects of climate change.

AGROMAP is strongly committed to the development of quality forest carbon credit projects. To ensure the operational implementation of projects in the field, four (04) strategic axes have been identified, namely (01) the NBS axis, (02) the Consulting axis, (03) the Renewable Energy axis and (04) the Technology axis. In order to strengthen its workforce in Côte d'Ivoire, AGROMAP is recruiting a React Developer.

Responsibilities :

Reporting to the Head of Technology, the React Developer will be responsible for participating in the development of the company's dynamic, high-performance front-end web applications. More specifically, the React Developer will be in charge of :

Website development

Participate in the design and development of institutional websites;
Integrate UI/UX models in collaboration with designers (Figma, Adobe XD, etc.);
Ensure cross-browser and mobile-first compatibility (responsive design);
Optimize site performance (technical SEO, page loading, accessibility);
Set up modern animations, transitions and interactions.

Font-end development of web applications

Develop new front-end functionalities in React.js (Hooks, Context API, Redux);
Use REST or GraphQL APIs to display and manipulate data;
Structuring and optimizing components to improve reusability ;
Implement global state management (Redux Toolkit, Zustand, Jotai, etc.);
Ensure front-end security (validation, token management, best practices) ;
Contribute to code documentation and project maintainability.

Quality, testing and best practices

Write clean, structured code that complies with project standards;
Perform unit and integration tests (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress);
Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement;
Use Git and GitHub/GitLab to manage your source code ;

Collaboration and communication

Work closely with ;
Participate in Agile meetings (daily, sprint planning, retro) ;
Propose technical solutions adapted to project needs.

Profile required:

BAC + 3/5 degree in Computer Science, Application Development, Software Engineering or equivalent;
Certifications or courses in React/JavaScript are a plus ;
1 to 3 years' successful experience in front-end development.

Skills & attitudes

Mastery of Git, GitHub/GitLab, Webpack, Vite, Babel, Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap or Material UI tools and ecosystems; REST / GraphQL, Figma / Adobe XD APIs (for integration);
Ability to perform tests on Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress (desired) ;
Good command of React.js (Hooks, Context API), JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 / CSS3, TypeScript (desired), Redux / Redux Toolkit or other state management, Next.js (desired), React Router ;
Ability to work in a team and communicate clearly ;
Analytical mind and attention to detail;
Autonomy and sense of responsibility;
Technical curiosity and constant monitoring of front-end technologies;
Rigor, organization and respect for deadlines.
