Information on the general framework of the position
AGROMAP is a regional company based in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. It designs and implements sustainability projects through Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) in Côte d'Ivoire, Congo Brazzaville, Cameroon, Ghana, and Guinea Conakry. These projects have a positive socio-economic impact in the areas where they are implemented, particularly on small-scale producers and their communities, as they help to improve their resilience to the effects of climate change. AGROMAP is strongly committed to the development of forest carbon credit projects. To ensure the operational implementation of projects in the field, four (04) strategic areas have been identified, namely NBS, Consulting, Renewable Energy, and Technology.
As part of its expansion, AGROMAP is recruiting a Project Coordinator for its Guinea office.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Strategic Advisor, the Project Coordinator's main responsibilities will be:
Development of a strategic and sustainable business development plan
- Define and implement the office's strategy in line with the group's objectives;
- Identify new market opportunities (sustainability projects, carbon credit, biodiversity);
- Develop strategic partnerships with public, private and NGO players;
- Represent the subsidiary in dealings with stakeholders (customers, investors, institutions);
Operational project management
- Supervise the implementation of projects (agroforestry, reforestation, carbon credit evaluation);
- Ensure compliance with deadlines, budgets, and quality requirements;
- Manage the environmental and social impact assessment of projects;
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations;
- Identify validated performance indicators linked to project objectives ;
Team management
- Manage and motivate a multidisciplinary team (technical experts, consultants, operational staff);
- Develop team skills and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration;
- Establish performance indicators and monitor individual and collective objectives;
Reporting and communication
- Report regularly to the Group CEO on the office's performance;
- Prepare detailed reports on project progress and impact;
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders ;
Profile required
- BAC +4/5 in management, sustainable development, agroforestry, environment or related field.
- Additional training in project management or leadership appreciated.
- At least 10 years' experience in a management position, preferably in the sustainability, agroforestry, reforestation or carbon credit sectors.
- Knowledge of international markets and issues related to biodiversity and climate change.
