JOB OFFER QHSE MANAGER (M/F)

Information on the general framework of the position

AGRO-MAP is an Ivorian company that develops forest restoration, mangrove and biodiversity conservation projects that generate carbon credits through nature-based solutions. It implements sustainable development projects that have a socio-economic impact on small-scale agricultural and forestry producers in order to improve their resilience to the effects of climate change. AGRO-MAP is recruiting a QHSE Manager to implement its Program to Rehabilitate Degraded Areas and Conserve Biodiversity in 70,000 hectares of the Haut-Sassandra Classified Forest.

Missions:

• Ensure the company's compliance with safety, health and environmental standards (national and international);
• Meet partners' quality requirements (HSE plan, prevention plan, etc.);
• Supervise the organization of various audits (internal and external);
• Monitor compliance with legal and regulatory requirements;
• Define risk prevention measures ;
• Identify infringements, non-conformities and risks to the environment and staff health;
• Identify the means of protection and prevention on the sites;
• Coordinate and implement HSE actions;
• Implement and deploy the company's safety policy in the field;
• Monitor the implementation of risk prevention actions ;
• Draw up monthly HSE reports;
• Maintain a regulatory watch ;
• Raise awareness of HSE issues within the company;
• Carry out any other HSE-related tasks assigned by the line manager.

Professional and hierarchical links :

The QHSE Manager reports directly to the Program Coordinator.                

Location :

The QHSE Manager will be based in Daloa, with monthly travel to AGRO-MAP headquarters in Abidjan for meetings to plan and monitor program activities.

Profile required

• Bac +4/5 in QHSE / Environment ;
• At least three (03) years of professional experience in a similar position;
• Proven experience in setting up and managing quality, safety and environmental management systems;
• Ability to write procedures and communications materials;
• Proven organizational and team management skills;
• Good interpersonal skills, ;
• Teaching and listening skills;
• Thoroughness and diplomacy;
• Good adaptability.

Conditions of employment:

• Position to be filled: January 02, 2022 ;
• Type of contract: Fixed-term contract (CDD) ;
• Contract duration: 12 months renewable, with the possibility of a permanent contract;
• Confirmation of contract: at the end of a three (03) month trial period.
