JOB OFFER/ AGRICULTURAL TECHNICIANS

Background and rationale

AGRO-MAP is a company specializing in the design and implementation of sustainable forestry, environmental and agricultural projects with a socio-economic impact for beneficiaries. It is committed to combating the effects of climate change and preserving biodiversity through Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) such as the production of forest and fruit seedlings, reforestation, agroforestry, as well as carbon and biodiversity credit projects in Côte d'Ivoire and the sub-region. To implement its activities, AGRO-MAP is recruiting Agricultural Technicians.

Main mission

Under the supervision of the Project Manager (PR), the technicians will be responsible for the effective implementation of field activities with the producers and communities involved in the projects. They will be responsible for :

- Contribute to the planning of activities linked to the production of seedlings
- Raise awareness and disseminate innovations among growers and/or communities;
- Carry out socio-economic surveys on farms and/or in communities;
- Map community plots and/or growers in rural areas;

- Provide on-farm coaching on agroforestry in cocoa farming;
- Manage and carry out planting and seedling monitoring activities;
- Perform additional tasks: any other task required for project activities.

Profile required

The technician devrat:

• Have a minimum level of BAC + 3 in agriculture, forestry, environment, natural resource management, any other related field;
• Good character;
• Good organizational and teamwork skills;
• Ability to take initiative ;
• Experience in agriculture, agroforestry and forestry;
• Good knowledge of the Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.);
• Ability to multi-task
• Have at least an A license and know how to ride the motorcycle;
• Immediate availability
• Previous experience of working in a rural environment.
• Advanced knowledge of GIS
• Know how to write a perfect activity report
