Position: FLEET MANAGER

AGROMAP NBS is a subsidiary of AGROMAP HOLDING, headquartered in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. It designs and implements sustainability projects through Nature-Based Solutions (NBS). These projects have a positive socioeconomic impact on smallholder farmers and their communities by helping to improve their resilience to the effects of climate change. AGROMAP NBS is strongly committed to developing forest carbon credit projects. As part of its efforts to expand its workforce, AGROMAP NBS is recruiting a Fleet Manager.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Logistics and Assets Manager, the Fleet Manager’s primary responsibility will be to:

Operational Management of the Vehicle Fleet

  • Manage the daily operations of the fleet: vehicle assignment, tracking, and availability management;
  • Maintain the vehicle fleet log (condition, assignment, mileage, history);
  • Plan and optimize vehicle usage based on the needs of field teams;

Maintenance and servicing

  • Develop and monitor the preventive and corrective maintenance schedule;
  • Coordinate repairs with auto repair shops and service providers;
  • Regularly inspect the condition of vehicles (technical inspections, safety, compliance);
  • Reduce downtime and anticipate breakdowns.

Cost and Fuel Management

  • Track fuel consumption by vehicle and detect anomalies;
  • Implement tracking tools (fuel logs, maps, dashboards);
  • Optimize operating costs (maintenance, parts, insurance).

Administrative Management and Compliance

  • Manage documents (vehicle registration certificates, insurance policies, vehicle inspections, driver’s licenses);
  • Ensure the fleet’s regulatory compliance;
  • Track claims and manage insurance cases.

Supervision of drivers and users

  • Raise drivers' awareness of best practices for driving and vehicle maintenance;
  • Establish rules for the use of the vehicle fleet (vehicle policy);
  • Monitor vehicle use (routes, behavior, compliance with guidelines).

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Implement fleet management dashboards (availability rate, cost per vehicle, fuel consumption, breakdown frequency);
  • Prepare monthly reports for management;

Profile required

  • A two- or three-year degree in automotive mechanics or a related field;
  • At least 2 years of experience in fleet management, ideally in a field setting; experience with the management of motorcycles and off-road vehicles is highly preferred;
  • Knowledge of automotive mechanics;
  • Proficiency in tracking tools (Excel, dashboards);
  • Cost management and data analysis;
  • Knowledge of traffic and transportation safety rules.
