It designs and implements sustainability projects through Nature-Based Solutions (NBS). These projects have a positive socioeconomic impact on smallholder farmers and their communities by helping to improve their resilience to the effects of climate change. The Company is strongly committed to developing forest carbon credit projects. As part of its efforts to expand its workforce, AGROMAP CONGO is recruiting a Project Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of the AGROMAP CONGO subsidiary, the Project Coordinator’s main responsibilities will include:
Analysis of RFP
- Review the request for proposals (RFP) or terms of reference (TOR);
- Identify the technical, legal, administrative, and financial requirements;
- Assess the feasibility of the project in light of the company’s areas of expertise and capabilities;
Technical Writing
- Prepare technical and financial proposals (methodology, approach, timeline, project team, implementation strategy);
- Tailor proposals to meet specific customer requirements;
- Leverage the company’s expertise and strengths;
Implementation of projects
Coordinate the operational implementation of projects;
- Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on the projects under his or her responsibility to the Country Director and partners;
- Develop a project roadmap, including associated risks and mitigation measures;
- Ensure effective communication of progress by highlighting the achievements of projects in communities;
- Develop and maintain dashboards, tools, databases, and other monitoring mechanisms to assess the performance of activities and the progress made by clients;
- Work closely with the Director and the technical and operational teams on the strategic development plan;
- Develop training and data collection tools related to projects;
- Take appropriate steps to ensure effective project management.
- Any other tasks related to project management as assigned by management.
Business Development
- Identify potential clients, strategic sectors, and the partnerships needed to facilitate the promotion of the company at the national and international levels;
- Propose and launch new innovative projects tailored to customer needs;
- Build strong relationships with financial partners, clients, and institutions across a wide range of sectors (agriculture, forestry, mining, etc.), while supporting the development of new business opportunities;
- Respond to requests for proposals and project proposals, and seek out opportunities with potential partners;
- Serve as a company ambassador and represent the company alongside the Country Manager at events, conferences, and workshops, as well as in dealings with donors and financial partners.
Project Monitoring and Evaluation
- Develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation framework for the project, including key performance indicators (KPIs);
- Organize regular meetings to monitor projects and assess risks;
- Design of periodic newsletters and examples of project performance success stories;
- Provide quality control support for all aspects of monitoring and evaluation included in the Project’s performance report (ensuring the accuracy of reported data, established objectives/targets, indicator descriptions, and report formatting);
Requirements – Candidate Profile Minimum Qualifications
Training
Education: Minimum of a master’s degree in agronomy, forestry, project management, or any other related field.
Experience
More than 5 years of experience in project management in the fields of agriculture, forestry, and/or the green transition.
Skills
- Good knowledge of the agricultural and forestry sectors;
- Strong interest in issues related to the agroecological transition, knowledge of regenerative agriculture, and forest carbon projects;
- Proven organizational skills and ability to manage teams;
- Strong environmental awareness, a sense of responsibility, and independence;
- Field experience in implementing development projects is considered a plus;
- Experience managing multicultural teams;
- Team player, with the ability to work independently;

Languages
- Fluent in French (spoken and written);
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is a plus;

Working Conditions / Physical Strain
- Position based in Brazzaville, Congo;
- Competitive compensation based on experience;
- 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of renewal;
- Good physical condition/Frequent travel to field sites;
- Start-up as soon as possible.
