BACKGROUND
TOUTON is committed to improving the living conditions of producers in its cocoa supply chain, promoting agroforestry and ensuring a prosperous industry. To do so, it continually initiates awareness-raising and capacity-building programs for its agronomists and partner producers on the challenges of cocoa farming and good agricultural practices. To carry out its training programs. AGRO-MAP, a company specializing in training and coaching for players in the cocoa sector, has been asked to contribute its expertise in this field.
OBJECTIVES
The aim of this mission is to support the implementation of awareness-raising and training activities for TOUTON's partner producers on aspects related to climate change, through the training of its agronomists. Specifically, TOUTON's agronomists will be trained in :
- Agroforestry and cocoa-based agroforestry systems
- The forestry code and tree ownership.
RESULTS
- 24 agronomists and technicians trained in agroforestry and cocoa-based agroforestry systems.
- 47 relay producers trained in the forestry code and tree ownership.
