BACKGROUND
BARRY-CALLEBAUT, a company in the cocoa industry, is committed to restoring the forest cover of the AGBO 2 classified forest in Côte d'Ivoire. One of the key points in achieving the objectives of this project is the provision of forest and fruit seedlings adapted to the area. For this reason, AGRO-MAP has been chosen as the technical partner responsible for the production and supply of forest and fruit seedlings.
OBJECTIVES
Produce forest and fruit seedlings for the restoration of the AGBO 2 classified forest. More specifically, this involves :
- Selecting nursery sites for forest and fruit trees ;
- Produce forest and fruit plants made up of 29 different species;
- Supply forest and fruit plants.
RESULTS
- At least 83,000 forest and fruit seedlings produced and delivered;
- The AGBO 2 classified forest is restored;
