
BACKGROUND
The European Regulation against Deforestation (RDUE), in force since June 29, 2023, prohibits the import and export of cocoa linked to deforested land after December 31, 2020. Companies must guarantee that their products do not contribute to deforestation.
To comply, Atlantic Cocoa Corporation Cameroun is rolling out a traceability plan for its supply chain, aimed at geolocating, mapping and referencing farms to ensure reliable cocoa traceability. The company has entrusted this diagnostic and mapping mission to AGROMAP/CEA Group, represented by AGROMAP Cameroun.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES
Diagnosis and mapping of the cocoa farms of member producers in ACC's supply basins, as part of compliance with the European Anti-Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)..
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

Raising producers' awareness of the European Regulation against Deforestation (EUDR);

Collect socio-economic data from producers ;

Map the cocoa plots of producers in its supply basin;

Agroforestry characterization of 4,000 cocoa plots.
EXPECTED RESULTS

The cocoa producers are made aware of the requirements of the RDUE ;

The socio-economic data of the target producers are collected;

The mapping of parcels with the production of georeferenced polygons has been completed;

The agroforestry characterization of 4,000 cocoa plots is carried out ;
