BACKGROUND
Cameroon is the 4thᵉ world producer of cocoa (6% of production), 78% of which is exported to the EU. The entry into force of the European Regulation against deforestation (June 29, 2023) imposes new traceability and sustainability requirements. To comply with these requirements, CARGILL Cameroon has launched the identification of producers and the mapping of plots.
The company plans to trace its entire supply chain and deploy a plan to comply with the RDUE, in order to limit deforestation and secure access to the European market.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES
Assess the compliance of CARGILL Cameroon's supplies with the requirements of the European Anti-Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

Carry out an in-depth diagnosis of the producers in CARGILL Cameroon's supply chain;

Map and characterize the cocoa plots of identified producers;

Assess the risks of non-compliance (deforestation, proximity to protected areas, plot size, etc.).

Propose corrective measures and guidelines for compliance via the AKIDOMPRO platform ;

Diagnosis of producers in CARGILL Cameroon's supply chain is ensured. ;
